There are a family of mimics seeking a swarm. And a few creatures are inhabited by intellect devourers who seek new hosts.
At some point A revenant arrives seeking revenge.
As the adventure progresses there is a series of murders

The characters are monsters looking for somewhere to hide for the night. One or more characters are dressed in costumes.
It is at a legendary ship which was the site of several murders.
There are a circle of druids enjoying intoxicating mushrooms. And a desperate assassin seeks to kill a mind flayer by dawn.
At some point someone discovers a sacrificial chamber.
As the adventure progresses there is a series of disappearances

The characters are a group of ghost investigators with a covered wagon, investigating a mystery.
It is at an ancient arena which has a garden of huge vegetables.
There are blights creating a strange garden. And a creature here is possessed by a sentient berserker axe.
At some point someone finds a mysterious note.
As the adventure progresses cowled strangers begin to arrive

The characters are a circle of spellcasters hunting for mirror.
It is at a magical laboratory which is protected by a ghost.
There are a group of monster hunters spying on someone. And a foul poisoner wants to negotiate with a fungal golem.
At some point A former friend of a character arrives seeking revenge.
As the adventure progresses a great evil starts to escape its prison

The characters are friends and family of an adventurer, gathered for a funeral. One or more characters are dressed in costumes.
It is at a grove of trees sacred to a local religion which is associated with a magical ogre.
There are a pack of welcoming ghouls preparing for a feast. And a vampire bound to the area is looking for a suitable partner.
At some point someone finds a clue.
As the adventure progresses people start breaking into song
