An outline for a one-shot adventure with the situation, what the characters are, the aim of the one-shot, events during it and an ending.

theme:

The characters are shapechanging nobles who must negotiate with a celestial awakened beast. A character is possessed by a ghost.
It is at an ancient ice cap which is disguised by a hallucinatory terrain.
There are a group of outlaws choosing a leader. And a superstitious demon seeks to win a sporting event.
At some point someone remembers a useful poem.
As the adventure progresses there is a series of murders

The PCs are desperate pirates who must map out a ruined woods in the Feywild. The mood might be... surreal
There is a young poet who wants to do the same thing. they are the aunt of a character.
The characters start with the loan or gift of a powerful magic item. Partway through foes are waiting for them. If things are going nowhere a deity sends a sign.
Afterwards there is the group all sharing a joke.

The PCs are penniless half-elves who must discover the plans of a pious group of goblin wolfriders. One or more characters has an inquisitive mount. It might involve earth.
There is a resourceful villain who betrays them partway through.
The characters start with an escaped monster. At some point they encounter a riddle. If things are going nowhere an animal messenger arrives.
At the end there is the characters all posing together.

The PCs are notable members of a ruling family who must discover the plans of a repulsive plaza. It might involve air.
There is an angry paladin who works against them.
The characters start in tense negotiations. At some point there is a romantic complication. If things get stuck they spot a lone enemy scout.
It finishes with a romantic ending.

The PCs are elite fiend hunters who must capture a famous hag. Two of the characters are former friends. The mood might be... action
There is a drunk apprentice who falls in love with a character. they are the rival of a character.
The characters start in a tense stand-off. At some point there is a wedding. If things slow down a storm approaches.
At the end there is a reward of the key to a planar portal.
