The PCs are all shapechangers who must subdue a lucky whale. One or more characters arrive late, bearing alcohol. It might involve genies.
There is a young fighter who hates one of the characters.
The characters start on the road about to encounter someone. Early on there is a significant change of weather. If things get stuck a villain turns up.
It finishes with a reward of the thanks of the people. Possible sequel... a character's homeland is under threat

The PCs are mercenary guild artisans who must destroy an assassin cult. It might involve planar travelers.
There is a rich adventurer who betrays them partway through. they are the cousin of a character.
The characters start in tense negotiations. Early on they encounter lots of vermin. If things get stuck a statue points them somewhere useful.
Afterwards there is a reward of a more dangerous quest with a great reward.

The PCs are evil lizardfolk who must solve mystery of a missing god. It might involve skeletons.
There is a shapechanging rogue who tries to help them.
The characters start with an escaped monster. Partway through there is a local festival. If things are going nowhere it starts to snow.
It finishes with a newborn or child on the way. Possible sequel... same adventure but everything more dangerous

The PCs are evil spellcasters who must make a trade with a fiendish group of thieves. One or more characters belong to a local secret society. It might involve elemental earth.
There is a mysterious alchemist who works against them.
The characters start on the road about to encounter someone. At some point they encounter a challenge to a duel. If things slow down they spot a lone enemy scout.
At the end there is a wedding.

The PCs are all members of the same crime family who must destroy an assassin cult. A character is accompanied by an annoying friend. It might involve goblins.
There is a ruthless noble who works against them.
The characters start camped and about to be attacked. Partway through they encounter a thieving NPC. If things slow down there is a explosion.
It finishes with the characters all posing together.
